Arvid Cristina

Arvid Cristina was born in New Orleans, to an American father and Finnish mother. He grew up in Brazil, the Netherlands, and Washington DC. His mother was an artist and fostered his creative spirit from a young age. That combined with a love of mythology, comic books and movies set him down a path of wanting to pursue creative goals for a living. When he saw Tim Burton’s Batman at age 10, he decided filmmaking was the career for him. His first time on a set was on a music video for the Finnish power metal band, Stratovarius. Since then he has worked in various capacities from production through distribution and exhibition. Companies he has worked for include Troma Entertainment, World Wrestling Entertainment and HBO. Currently he works as an editor and has branched out into directing. His most recent film is the short film, Hypnagogia, which has played at various Horror Film Festivals, including ScreamFest and HorrOrigins.
