Adrian Ferrara

Adrian Ferrara’s interest in filmmaking first came from a place of fear. Terrified of Ray Harryhausen’s stop-motion skeletons, a six-year-old Adrian soon realized it was someone’s job to make monsters real, and a love for the magic of movies was born.

The grandson of a Sicilian opera singer and theatre director, Adrian followed his dreams and family legacy to Tulane University where he received bachelor of arts degrees in both Film Studies and Digital Media Production. As post-Katrina’s Hollywood South grew, he soon found himself in a wide variety of on-set positions, and it was through these experiences he honed his craft.

Adrian’s love for creative storytelling and eye for detail ultimately resulted in him finding his niche in producorial, directorial, screenwriting, and editing roles, but it was his passion for writing that would lead to him obtaining Professional Certification in Screenwriting from UCLA and Professional Certification in Novel Writing from Michigan State University. During this time, Adrian received private tutelage from story consulants with Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Feature Animation, and the culmination of his efforts would earn him a Semi-Finalist position in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition.

Whether through words on the page or images on the screen, Adrian is still chasing his childhood dream of making monsters real, and he is more than proud to work alongside the talented artists at Aqui Productions to do so.
